Newly energized on behalf of the rights of women after the latest tomfooleries by certain elected officials? IF SO, WE WANT YOU!
Charlotte Women’s March and National Coalition of 100 Black Women-Queen City Metropolitan Chapter are actively recruiting volunteers to help plan the 2020 Women United March. We’re looking for eager, hardworking volunteers of all genders who are interested in helping us build a groundswell for this non-partisan, election-year event.
Each January, for the past three years, Charlotte’s marches for women’s issues have been inspiring, significant, issue-focused and legacy-building. They have provided a platform for a wide variety of speakers on women’s rights and equity, helping to raise awareness, conversation and action.
Therefore, with a Presidential race NC Governor and NC Senate seat on the line, our single-minded effort for this year’s march needs to be: GETTING OUT THE VOTE. With your help, we can create a march that will attract folks interested in bringing in fresh perspectives and energy as speakers and those who come to hear and march.
We want our march to be peaceful and yet a seminal moment – at the beginning of a year of heated politics – and hopefully, a productive year as we continue to raise awareness about women’s rights, equity throughout our community, and where candidates stand.
If you are interested in working with an incredible group of volunteers to build a groundswell, please sign up here.
