Charlotte March For Our Lives is almost here! Men, women and students of all ages are showing solidarity and commitment as we march together ~ MFOL is still in need of volunteers. If you can arrive at First Ward Park around 9:00 a.m., there will be much to do to get organized to have our event go well! We need assistance with crowd control, cheerleaders and clean-up. There will be a table set up at the park to check-in. On Saturday, March 24, community members from Charlotte, North Carolina will gather for a “sibling march” as part of the March for Our Lives movement. The march is one of hundreds happening around the country planned by students and survivors of gun violence in communities big and small, in all 50 states. The national day of action will focus on calling for lawmakers to make students’ lives and safety a priority and to pass commonsense gun safety legislation. “We cannot sit around and watch innocent lives be taken when the answer is so simple” said Maddie Syfert, a senior at Myers Park High School and an organizer of the march. “Students across the CMS district will come together to fight for our lives and march on the 24th. We march to never again see students go to school and fear that they may get shot—to never again see another innocent child die from gun violence.”

301 E Seventh Street, Charlotte, There is street parking or parking in 7th Street Station. It will be crowded and you can also ride LYNX to the 7th Street Station Stop.
