Charlotte’s School to Prison Pipeline

In 2015, 3.6 out of every 100 white students were suspended from our public schools, while in contrast 32.1 out of every 100 black students were suspended. The documentary “13th” looked at the criminalization of people of color with a national lens.

We are excited to invite you to our Fall Community Forum titled, “New South City, Old South Rules: Charlotte’s School to Prison Pipeline.”

When: Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 6PM – 8PM
Where: YWCA Multi-Purpose Room
