CWM at Pride Parade August 27th!

Join the CWM as we participate in this annual event, which is the culmination of a week chock full of activities.  (Check charlottepride.org for information about the entire week.)

There are 153 entries in this year’s Parade, with an expected 4,500 individuals participating.  Charlotte’s Pride Parade is the largest Parade between Washington, DC and Atlanta, GA.

The Parade starts at 9th and N. Tryon Streets. The route is  0.75 miles long and will take about 25 minutes.

The Charlotte Women’s March entry is in the first group of marchers, which allows us  the opportunity to represent CWM and also enjoy the Parade.  Plan on gathering at 11:00 a.m. at the staging area at 9th and Tryon Street. There will be a Red Flag with “Group 1” as our marker. All walkers need to be ready by 12:15 in the designated staging area. Streets will be blocked off so plan accordingly to allow for traffic.

Water and rainbow flags will be available for purchase, feel free to bring your own as well.
