Get Back on the Bus June 28th

It’s here — and it’s as bad as we thought.

Thursday, U.S. Senate Republicans unveiled their health care bill, and plain and simple: this is the worst piece of legislation for women in a generation.

For the past month, mostly men have been working behind closed doors on the secret health care bill, and it’s just what we expected. Not only will the bill gut Medicaid and leave millions of people without health care, but will also cut Essential Health Benefits protections, including maternity coverage and prescription drugs, which disproportionately affect women.

The time to act is now.

We need to meet our elected officials where they are — literally. We’re getting on a bus to our nation’s Capitol next Wednesday, June 28, and we want you to join us. We’ll be demanding our U.S. Senators stand with Planned Parenthood and protect access to affordable and reliable health care for ALL people.

Come with us to D.C. to GET LOUD and FIGHT BACK!

WHEN: Wednesday, June 28, 6 a.m.
WHERE: Chapel Hill (sign-up for more details)

It will be a full day of action, so don’t forget your comfortable walking shoes and anything you need to stay fighting! We’ll be providing t-shirts, water, snacks and Planned Parenthood pink swag!

Sign-up NOW to join us in the nation’s Capitol.

Extreme lawmakers want to see Planned Parenthood “defunded” and banned from the Medicaid program, thereby denying low-income people access to their trusted health care provider. We need to make sure our voices are heard and that our elected officials know that we won’t stand by while they play politics with people’s health care.

See you on the bus to D.C. next Wednesday, June 28 at 6 a.m.!

In solidarity,

Planned Parenthood South Atlantic

P.S. It’s free to get on the bus with Planned Parenthood to DC. Grab a friend and sign-up NOW!
